Six leading research institutions in Austria and Germany have jointly launched the LTER-CWN project. The project consortium consists of the Environmental Sciences Research Network of the University of Vienna and working groups of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, the University of Innsbruck, the Environment Agency Austria and the Austrian Research Centre for Forests, with their respective measuring stations. These research institutions formed a partnership with the research centre Jülich (Germany), responsible for data storage and data management.
