Throughout Austria, the LTER-CWN sites form a network of measuring stations that use cutting-edge technology. All the main types of important ecosystems are represented: forests, grassland in valleys and mountains, as well as wetlands and bogs. The measuring stations are located in the provinces of Burgenland, Lower and Upper Austria, Styria and Tyrol.
